Small Projects Foundation
Details
Small Projects Foundation (SPF) was founded in 1988, and determined that there was a need for an organization that would find out the needs of beneficiaries, help them to identify their priorities and work with them to plan, implement and achieve their goals in a systemic way. SPF also determined that there was a need for a small flexible organization that would be sustainable over the long term by keeping a small permanent staff and employing contract staff on programmes and projects.
SPF works with communities and community service providers where they draw on their own knowledge and resources, to identify constraints that face them; and develop plans to use their knowledge and take action in managing challenges facing the communities.
We strengthen the systems of health facilities through skills development, training and mentoring to embed models creating sustainability beyond funding term. We train and mentor community health care workers, members of community based organizations and learner support agents in various skills; providing them with knowledge, skills and competence to provide the necessary support to communities.
